Controller not detected

Controller keeps disconnecting
Symptom: the controller connects fine, then drops mid session, sometimes reconnecting on its own.

Bluetooth pairing fails or times out

Symptom: releasing the stick causes it to overshoot past center before settling, noticeable during quick direction changes.

One stick feels less precise than the other
Symptom: aiming or movement feels noticeably less accurate on one side compared to the other.
Often a circularity issue where the stick's movement path is not a true circle, which shows up most during diagonal input.
Deadzone feels too large after an update
Symptom: small stick movements no longer register, requiring a bigger push than before to get a response.

Trigger does not reach full range

Buttons register twice, ghost inputs

Battery drains much faster than before
Symptom: a wireless controller that used to last a full session now needs charging every hour or two.
Vibration intensity, light bar brightness, and normal battery aging over hundreds of charge cycles are the usual causes.
Vibration motors not working
Symptom: no rumble feedback at all, or only one side of the controller vibrates.
Sometimes disabled in system or game settings, sometimes a failed motor. Testing both motors individually narrows it down quickly.
Controller feels warm during use
Symptom: the controller becomes noticeably warm during long play or charging sessions.
Mild warmth during charging is normal for lithium batteries. Warmth during normal play without charging is worth monitoring but rarely dangerous on its own.
